Circle Skirt

This is a circle skirt I hand-painted with oil-based paint sticks. My two sources of inspiration were a photo of pink verbena I took at my house and a picture of the sun glistening on the water in my pool. By combining these two inspirations, I created this rainbow skirt, full of flowers painted on with hand-cut stencils. I wanted to put emphasis on color, so I asked myself, "How can I achieve the most vibrant colors with a limited amount of paint?" Creating this skirt was not only enjoyable but the process was very beneficial for my growth as a designer.
