Feelings of a Breeze

​"Feelings of a Breeze" is a zero-waste collection inspired by the feelings people get from blowing a dandelion. These may include feelings like being carefree, happy, cheerful, and wishful. I wanted this collection to show the delicate, soft properties of a dandelion. Dandelions are soft, lightweight, and flowy. I wanted my designs to resemble these characteristics. In order to achieve these properties, I used Silk Charmeuse as the main fabric and Silk Chiffon as the sheer accent fabric.

This collection was created for 20 to 40-year-old women who want to dress up for special events during the spring and summer seasons. I created this collection in Clo 3D, which is a great fashion software that helps people visualize their garments using virtual cutting and sewing techniques.

This collection is also zero waste. Every piece of fabric cut was then attached to another section of the garment. Before this collection, it was hard for me to imagine fashionable zero-waste garments. Now I can see that it is possible to create chic, flowy outfits that are environmentally friendly. With this new inspiration, I hope to continue creating zero-waste garments that are fashionable, wearable, and enjoyable.
